The
mission of education in the United Church of Religious Science
is to present Science of Mind - a philosophy, a faith, a
way of life - as an exciting, contemporary educational model
through which learners fully experience the spiritual reality
of their being. This model includes curriculum that integrates
the intellectual, emotional, physical and spiritual aspects
of contemporary living, is communicated in modern language
and based on a developmental sequence for evolving consciousness.

Announcements for all classes offered appear
in our Church newsletter, Heartline, in the Sunday bulletins
and this page of our website. Sign up sheets for upcoming
classes are found on the registration table in the sanctuary,
or you may register by calling the Church office. Time payment
plans are available for all classes. Ask about senior and
"shared income" couple's discounts. Partial scholarships
are available for Foundational class.

THE
FOUNDATIONAL CLASS is
the entry level class in the study of Science of Mind, introducing
the Core Concepts of the Science of Mind and how to apply
these Universal Principles to our lives. Meditation and Spiritual
Mind Treatment are taught as daily practices. Experientials,
guided meditations and exercises are used to assist students
in embracing and incorporating SOM principles.

EXPLORING
ROOTS 2000 provides
the student with an understanding of the historical roots
in America of Ernest Holmes' philosophy. Specific emphasis
will be given to the works of Thomas Troward, Emma Curtis
Hopkins and Ralph Waldo Emerson.

EMMA
CURTIS HOPKINS' ideas
are presented to encourage independent thinking and spiritual
growth and based upon her 12 lessons, designed for the purpose
of defining and delineating the method of Jesus Christ. The
work will require students to evaluate their own answers in
the light of their own spiritual awareness and maturity. The
total work of Scientific Christian Mental Practice is covered
in two 7 week series. Each series can stand on its own and
is often taught in order with a one week break between sessions.

AND MEDITATION - SPIRITUAL PRACTICE FOR DAILY LIVING

PRACTICAL
MYSTICISM is
an exploration of mysticism, what it is and what it is not;
and provides the framework for the student to live a more
mystical life in present time. Each student sets personal
intentions for their own life. Emphasis is given to the practice
of meditation and the practice of witnessing consciousness.
This class is ideal for anyone seeking to deepen their own
awareness of the Divine reality of this life.

FINANCIAL
FREEDOM contains
in-depth material that allows the student to examine their
personal belief systems and to gain a new perspective of how
these are at work in their lives. Interplay of thought, emotions,

MASTERY: THE EMERGENCE OF THE TRUE SELF focuses
on healing the perceived separation between personality and
Spirit. Through an active exploration of the creative nature

a conscious, intentional being.

STUDIES YEAR 1
LIVING THE PRINCIPLES - Entry
into professional studies is by interview with the minister
to ascertain spiritual readiness and vision.
The first year of Professional Practitioner Studies is devoted
to advancing spiritual awareness and expanding the student's
understanding of his/her relation to the Universe. It is designed
to be whole and complete within itself, preparing the student
to live life more fully, whether or not s/he chooses to continue
with Practitioner II Studies, and to license as a Professional
Practitioner.
PRACTITIONER
STUDIES YEAR II
THE LIFE OF THE PROFESSIONAL PRACTITIONER - Entry
into year two is by interview with the minister as well as
successful completion of year one. The second year of Professional
Studies focuses on the consciousness, the skills, and responsibilities
of the Professional Practitioner, as well as the relationship
of the Professional Practitioner to the principles we teach,
to the client, to the process in healing, to the church, the
community and the world.
Length
of class: 30 weeks each year - 60 total
Certification hours: 90 each year - 180 total
Textbooks: 9 books, plus workbook each year - 18 books total
Tuition: $500.00 plus books, each year, plus testing, application
& graduation fees second year.
*If
interested in professional training, the student must have
completed all required certification hours in the four branches
of learning including mandatory classes of Foundational and
Treatment & Meditation.

GENERAL
INFORMATION
The various
classes are offered throughout a calendar year depending on
popularity and pre-registration of usually a minimum of 10
participants. Some classes are still in development and will
be available in the near future, i.e. Bible Wisdom.
If a
student has successfully completed a course at CCCL, has received
credit and wishes to take it again, it is our policy to offer
the course for an audit fee of only $50.00 (Professional Studies
not included)
